Uhhh, I dunno abou this one. While the singer of the band, Kyle, get mad praise about his vocal abilities... I found it a bit over the top. The music that surrounds his amazingly controllable high pitched whines, is just as mellow. All eleven tracks can and will drag you into a coma, if you're not careful. This all just too polished and cosmic for my tastes, just seems hippie-ish and too poppy. I like emo, blues and some experimental kinda sounds, but Verona takes all of those mixes them up and regurgitates some depressingly slow music that, quite frankly, bores me to tears. I think I'm done with this now... I'm sure someone out there finds pleasure in this, but I do not. -MG |
