This is pretty cool! Boss Tuneage has managed to hand select some great bands from around the world for their second installment of the singles collection series. The disc arrives in what looks like a 7 inch sleeve, but is really a twenty-three track CD! I believe this is part of the singles mail order club that Boss Tuneage puts out every once in a while (like once a year?). Needless to say, Boss Tuneage has got some great taste with the music from Rope (England), Baby Little Tablets (Japan), Innerface (Belgium), Skeeter (USA), Beauty School Dropout (Scotland), and In Harms Way (Canada). Each of the bands bring their own version of punk rock from skate to pop to a little country rock influence to pure pub rock. There isn't a bad track on the disc, and most of you would find something that you would really enjoy on here. The best part of the whole thing is that the cost of this disc is/should be the same as a standard 7 inch album...SWEET! If you haven't checked out Boss Tuneage yet, this album isn't the best introduction, because some of these bands aren't on their roster. But to get an idea of what Boss Tuneage gets into, this is cheap way to get a lot of music and come to your own conclusions. -MG |
