Detroit, Michigan's The Warning have received plenty of acclaim and attention since their inception in 2001. A meeting at a local bar proved more than fruitfull for the band, all of us have benefited from The Warning's decision to make music influenced by Motorhead, Exploited and GBH. These influences are easily heard throughout the band's latest effort, and debut with Punk Core, "All Systems Dead". The twelve track release shows off the band's love of metal, punk rock attitude and old school energy...something often missing in much of punk rock today. Energy. Everyone has an attitude! The metal influence comes through most in tracks like "Senseless Murder", "Detroit Riot City" and the opening track "All Systems Dead". One can't help, but to be flattened by the band's high speed guitar, drums, bass and vocals. It's as though the band has to get the song out of their lungs, before it tears them apart from the inside out! Fast, loud, aggressive. Need I say more? No! The Warning are quickly acending up the ladder of punk and metall, and will soon sit atop the punk metal pyramid. You don't want to miss this, the band will level you from all sides with their huge sound. Perhaps, that is the most amazing part... This band, a basic three-piece, manages a sound and record that is incredibly thunderous and bursting with the fury of punk, metal, and rock n roll! Altogether this sound is their own, and most importantly...highly addictive for any fan of punk rock music. -MG |
