Coming out of Florida (I think), is The Terrornauts featuring the new breed of garage rock meets surf music that has become a staple in my collection. Gritty and mashing are just two of the words that come to mind when I hear the fury the band lays down on this disc. The first track, "Psyche-Center Blues" is just a magnificent scream fest, its hard to tell who pours it on more, vocalist Ray Vega or his guitar! By the second track you get a more traditional surf rock feel with the band's instrumental tune "Surfin' Uranus". The remaining tracks on the disc are groovy, fast and furious and all topped off with Ray belting out vocals like a man possessed! This is a trendous album that shouldn't be missed! The Terrornauts have got something that is dirty, fun and noisy, there's somethig for everyone! This is The Terrornauts debut CD, and unfortuanately it only has 5 tracks on it. I was really hoping to hear more from the three piece. Hopefully the success of this album will warrant a full-length release to the delight of many I'm sure! -MG |
