Similar to the Dropkick Murphys' success with "Tessie", the Boils have recently hit upon offering anthems to the local professional hockey team. Based in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, the Boils had the track "Bullies" played on a loacl radio station, the pro team contacted them and asked for some more! Here we have the results... Six tracks of hard hitting punk rock, with the hockey thrown in for the requestors. We have a hockey team here in Columbus, Ohio, USA...the Blue Jackets. They suck. I like the hockey games here at home, mainly for the beer, as I find the game pretty boring. Maybe because I don't know the rules as well as I know baseball, football and basketball. In any case, i find it a little difficult to identify with each of these tracks, but what I do olike about them is that they are hard drivin' shit kickin' tracks that stand out as punk rock tunes first and hockey anthems second. Again, a comparison to Dropkick Murphys is warranted, as the Boils offer their punk rock in the same vein, loud, aggressive, and most of all fun! Chant along choruses abound inviting fans of punk and hockey to unite and celebrate in anothe Flyers victory! -MG |
