Naj One
Foeknawladge (released 2007)
New Eden Records - www.newedenrecords.com
Yes, at Hussieskunk we review everything...so here goes. Naj One, was Foek, until he found Islam. Then he changed his name, and apparently his world was better. Strange what religion can do to people. It's not my place to trash anyone's beliefs, but please don't pour it on me. Please don't make a record about it and hope to profit from it. I mean only a few entities have done anything like that and were successful, namely the Holy Roman Empire and the current Vatican. Those two have dominated the religion for profit scam. In any case, this album is rap. Bad rap. This album is rather boring and not very interesting even at the very core of Naj One's chosen subject matter. One shining bit of interest, the collaboration with Naj and Cherem, that track is pretty darn good. However, I would be a little reluctant to credit Naj One with the best part of it. -MG
