Wow! Seven tracks in about nine minutes! Recorded in just two days, really who needs two days for nine minutes of music! The four-piece group from France, Les Hate Pink's are a wild ride through '77 styled punk rock reminescent of the insanity of the Buzzcocks. What a great disc, the band doesn't fuck around with pomp and circumstance, instead cutting through the shit with a nine minute explosion of punk rock from it's golden era. Ripping tracks like "Sexual Liberation Is For Animals", "My City Is Sick of Pizza" and "Your Ass Is A Stereotype" you get the sense that the band isn't here for much more than entertaining you through their tripped out variation of never dull old school punk rock. It's funny, I think this review took longer to write than the disc took to listen to! Great stuff for fans of the old school and fans of the glam punk that kicked off in the early eighties. Great stuff. It's a shame that there isn't twice as much material, not necessarily longer tracks, just more of 'em. -MG |
