So I don't think I even need to describe who or what Give Up The Ghost is or sounds like. They are very well known and have had two full-length releases on Equal Vision Records in the past few years... But here is something special from the band and Bridge 9 Records. "Year One" is a collection of tunes from the band's first two EPs, which are not out of press. But wait there's more, not only do you get those twelve songs, you also get a rare cover of MC5's "Kick Out The Jams" (which is truly in-fucking-credible) and three live recordings from a live recording in London by the BBC Network! This is an incredible collection of music from a band that is already a mainstay on the scene and certainly will be there for a while, so you don't want to miss this. Seriously, the EPs are out of print, do you own a copy of them... Probably not, so you will want this disc bad! -MG |
