A combination of rock and punk, reminescent of Columbus, Ohio's (defunct?) Atomic Spiders. While Found Dead In Trunk aren't quite punk, they don't fit fully into the rock genre either. There are moments of anger, excitement, toughness and more that make the band fit the punk rock genre, but somehow I'm struck that they just miss the mark. I appreciate the sound the band puts together, like I said most of which is a rockier type of sound, kinda like updating classic rock... This EP eatures six tracks from the band, with several standouts like "Combat Zone" and "I Don't Give A Fuck". These two tracks alone would make for a nice split with a band like Atomic Spiders. Found Dead In Trunk also manage to cover, quite well, an old Black Flag song, "I'm Wasted". I like what the band has put together here, like i mentioned before, it will fit the fans of rock and punk, but more so the fans of rock. I'm sure you will not be disappointed with this band's take on a more arena rock meets punk rock sound. -MG |
