The self-proclaimed hardest working hardcore band in Japan, Endzwreck have offered up a collection of songs that have been featured on compilations and 7"ers from 2001 to 2004. The disc is a the band's first release with Good Life Recordings and features nine songs of straight-forward hardcore music similar to Shai Hulud and Give Up The Ghost. I think the best part about each track is that they all just jump right into the power and fury that defines them best. There is no goofy intros or filler material that makes some other hardcore bands seem almost pansy. Endzwreck delivers their hardcore pills right down your throat. They even manage to cover a swong by Snuff on here... The band has played all over Japan and started a US tour in 2001, that was cut short by 9/11. From what I can gather through the lyrics sheet, Endzwreck have got intenese messages of life, death, freedom and struggle on here, each of them written with tremendous confidence in their message. I really found that the disc is tremendous in its sheer strength of delivery and power, you can't be disappointed by their musical compositions. From just this album, my introduction to the band, I hope that new material will arrive soon with the recent support from Good Life. -MG |
