Demon's Claws are a garage/proto-punk band hailing from the underground mecca of Montreal... Ok, maybe not a mecca, but I think Demon's Claws are about to put that city on the map for incredible lo-fi rock. This album has twelve tracks of a great lo-fi sound similar to The Thermals from Oregon, mixed with the vocals of a drunken Bob Dylan! Something more is that, I thought my headphones were going bad until I realized the 'fuzz' that stays on every song is meant to be there. Trying to keep the true sound of a underfunded production, similar to many early Stooges and MC5 recordings, Demon's Claws 'fuzz' adds to their infectious, drunken indie garage rock. I dig what these guys have laid down; its gritty and dirty and nasty and full of flavorful grooves that'll have any fan of true basement rock drooling!
