The ever revolving, and evolving, group that is Bullet Treatment have a new lead singer! Ms. Liza Graves has jumped in the frontwoman positiona dn offers up a different side of Bullet Treatment, while the band maintains it's violent grip on hardcore punk. Ms. Graves doesn't let the name down, she's belting out the vocals, until seemingly her vocal chards are in shreds. Along with the addition of a new lead singer is the return of Dave H. on drums, and the genius behind the creation of Bullet Treatment Chuck, on bass. The band tears through this four song EP, just as one would expect from the band...quickly and aggresively. While the sound of the vocals has changed, the band hasn't and they're still here to rock your ass and show what hardcore punk can, will and should be in the near future. Alwyas giving 150% of themselves to produce a record that one ups the previous incarnation of the band, this group has dropped a stellar bomb on you and you won't soon for get it. Blazing through this short EP in just under seven minutes, you don't get everything one would hope from the band, as I could listen to 35 minutes of more from the band, but alas I don't think we'll ever see a full length due to the constantly changing lineup. It'd be cool if maybe all previous members wrote a song, then drew names out of a hat to find out who they'd be matched with and then record the outcome for a full length... Now that'd be sweet! Be on the lookout for this release as not many were produced (even I got a CD-R version of the record), as I'm sure it will be a collector's item for Bullet Treatment and hardcore fans everywhere. -MG |
