Kingdom Of The Dead (Promo) (released 2007)
Self Produced
Every once in a while, Hussieskunk is privy to some promo albums, and really rarely, we're allowed a glimpse into some tracks that are still in production bound for release on a new album... That is exactly what we've got our grubby little hands on right here. Beerzone, back again, with a forthcoming disc to be titled "Kingdom Of The Dead" have given us five tracks of their brand of hardcore punk rock meets beer swilling rock n roll fury. Kicking off the set is "Stand Up And Fight", the mellowest of the tracks, regarding not backing down from forcing you world to change...as far as I can tell! "Kingdom Of The Dead", next up, is a potent political rant about a much needed change in the country, I assume in the UK perhaps? Not sure the country in question... "Go To Hell" is pretty much right there in your face, with the opening chorus and verse, telling you just where to go and to shut you mouth if your just going to sit there criticizing others. "Uncontrollable" the shortest song on the featurette, is the funkiest in terms of bass and guitar lines, but perhaps the best in truth in aggressive punk music. Essentially this is an advertisement for some unnamed mass of people or band, that spells it out in no unsimple terms that their completely uncontrollable and that their going to do what they want. "Let's Get Smashed Tonight" is my kind of song, detailing what we're gonna do...get fuckin' bombed! Great! The band comes through on each track, blistering their way through each song with their trademark oi boy punk rock... A mix of street, hardcore and drunken brotherhood rock n roll! I'm drooling with anticipation for the full release of this album! If these five tracks are any indication of the explosion about to be unveiled, then we're all due for some hearing tests afterwards cause it's gonna cause some auditory damage! -MG |
