Here are a few tips that should give you a better listening experience.

CONNECTING A COMPUTER TO A STEREO
Everyone knows that computer speakers, normally, are terrible for sound. They get the point across, but aren't meant for rocking out to the best punk tunes. Now unless you are one of those people who spent a few bucks on getting the full surround and subwoofer for your computer, your best bet will be to run the sound from your computer to a stereo.

Here is what you need to do: Be sure your computer's sound card has external jacks you can use, these are 1/8th inch connections. Look at the stereo that you plan on using, does it also have an auxiliary jack, or open connection where you can add an additional component? Now, how far apart are the stereo and computer? Cables come in several lengths, one should be available in the size you need, and the longer they are, the more expensive they are.

Go to the local electronics shop, for us its Radio Shack or Best Buy. Normally RCA jacks are the connections on any stereo you plan on using. You'll need to purchase a cable that has the 1/8th inch plug at one end (from the sound card) and dual RCA jacks at the other (to the stereo). Getting gold-coated connectors and a shielded cable is always better, but it depends on how much you want to spend. Any cable will do, as long as it has the above connections. Be sure to get the proper length of cable you need, nothing is more frustrating than finding out you are about a foot too short.

Now, you will connect the 1/8th inch jack to the sound card and the RCA jacks to the stereo's open channel. You're all set! Tune to the Hussieskunk like normal, begin listening, and turn on your stereo. Voila!

The next time you have a party, instead of changing out CD's all the time, now you have a radio station dedicated to punk on all the time.

If you use a different setup, please let us know and we'll put it up here for all to try. Contact us via email with Listening Tip in the subject.

SETTINGS ON STEREO EQUALIZERS
Don't ask us!! You'll just have to fuss with it yourself. All EQ's are different and some stereos just don't have them at all. Just tune in, we're sure the default settings on most stereos will give you a full quality sound.
