| The usual updates have been completed. I am working on updating the entire site, so if you find any dead links or broken ones, please let me know. I have a bunch more reviews to post, along with new music to add to the playlist. New zine reviews will be posted this week, new (and old) interviews will also be posted this week. A new New Music Indoctrination show will be aired this week featuring all of the new music we've gotten in the recent weeks and months. EF got asked to be an a Groovie Ghoulies (the California band) tribute album (on a german label).
We decided to go to a black recording studio in a black neighborhood in NJ (where they are recording and producing the soundtrack to the next Incredible Hulk movie!).
And WOW! Did the song “Tunnel of Love” come out totally wild! The studio people were amazing, we were the first rock band to ever record there!
The song sounds like some wild Chuck Berry/T Rex/ Small Faces/ Sex Pistols song! Blistering guitars, pulverizing bass and sonic BOOM live drums!
Best recording session I ever did.
We are going back to record new EF songs there (soon as we write them!) for sure! It was really fun record...

WALLS OF JERICHO release their guilty pleasure and highly anticipated EP 'Redemption' TODAY (online and in stores everywhere) on Trustkill Records, produced by Corey Taylor (Slipknot and Stone Sour). This EP may shock the bands fans that are used to the brutal metal onslaught that usually comes in a WOJ release. Redemption features melodic vocals and acoustic instruments bringing out a more moody and sultry side of the band. Finishing up some updates around the site. I have all of the new reviews posted, with the exception of the zines and book reviews which will be coming soon. I have three interviews to get posted. They are currently in post production. I have a new New Music Indoctrination show lined up. Sorry about last week. I just couldn't find tiem to record a show. We'll have a new one for you this week. I already have even more new reviews to post. I'll have them up this week too. A few changes to the web site are on their way, to make it sleeker and faster to load. Poison the Well has just announced they will be joining Killswitch Engage through a run of dates that also include Throwdown and The End. This tour will cover the bulk of Canada as well as some of the midwest United States and will last from May 10th to May 29th. After finishing that stint, the band embark on a short headlining tour with support from Gwen Stacy and Duck Duck Goose from May 30th to June 12th.
After the tour is over, Poison The Well will return home to decompress and begin working on their new record, which they hope to have finished by the fall for release in early 2009. Check http://www.myspace.com/poisonthewell for tour dates and album updates. |

The quartet of Kash (vocals), Jesse A. (bass), Ben Edge (guitar) and Justin Laughlin (drums) is an unlikely one. The commonalities lie in their love of the melodic hardcore punk of the early '80s, namely Zero Boys, Adolescents and Bad Brains. Through constant playing shows, touring, and recording, Bad Reaction are working on leaving their mark while not fitting into any one scene. This current black sheep of punk music would rather build a scene of their own. Wasn’t it about not fitting in to begin with? Their debut CD, "Had It Coming," combines two 7"s ("The Plastic World" and "Dare To Be Dull") in addition to a rendition of the Bad Brains' classic "Pay To Cum”.

KC Punk outfit Under The Black Sails are embarking on U.S. dates to support the release of their new self-titled EP.
UTBS quickly and firmly established themselves as one of the area's best live punk bands with a victory at the 2007 Kansas City Punk Wars Championship. With that under their belts, they began writing and recording their debut release, now ready for public dissemination.

| Still working on getting the new reviews posted. I got a ton of them. I have already rolled the new music up into the playlist. You should be hearing that by now. I was out of town all week and didn't get a chance to create a new NMI show, so look for next week to change that. The website has been running slow, so I am going to revamp a few things on the pages to speed it up. I am working on bringing together more streams of Hussieskunk. Yeah, I know the StickAm links went out. I had a computer take a crap and I haven't been able to resurrect it. So hang in there and I'll find a PC to run the stream.
