Hey Matt

I sent out the disk to you a couple of days ago... I realized I didn't put any contact or bio stuff in there for ya - so here it is:

Choke Onnit is a Toronto-based indie punk band which melds the best sensibilities of bands like Black Flag, Sonic Youth, the Stooges and NOMEANSNO in a novel and modernist way - leaving plently of room for noise and experimemtation.

Comprised of Bruce Headley on skins, Gerald Fratzl on guitar, Vanessa Hanson on throat, and Steve Brown on bass, the recent upstart was formed from the ashes of several other notable punk/rock acts around the scene - with Vanessa joining from the improv/noise/art community.

The newly released 5 song demo is a collection of dark, hard and deviously crafted post-punk wanting nothing more than to tear your heart out.
Songs about the dying arts, public image fetishes, capitalist religeous zealots, existentialist conundrums, corporate control & destruction and true love are all presented just for kicks in a highly palatable and knuckle-skinning package.

Great! Thanks that will help when we get the disc! As for the comp page, I'm not sure what you mean? Which comp page?

I was talking to you recently about a Toronto comp disk... I was pretty sure that I saw a page on your site listing regional comps in progress/completed when I first visited your site. That's what made me ask about it in the first place. Please don't tell me I'm losing my mind... ;)

Not losing your mind... We haven't got a page dedicated to the comps per se, but there is a list under the Hussieskunk News section. I would like to do a Toronto comp, but need to get a handful more bands. Email me directly and we'll talk about this some more.
