As you all know, this summer's Warped Tour is quickly approaching. Here at Fearless we are thrilled to have a few of our bands heading out on the tour.
Alesana will be headlining the SmartPunk Stage all summer long, a gig which has launched bands such as Underoath into the mainstream. Mayday Parade are also billed for the whole summer on the Hurley Stage. The Maine will be on the tour from June 20th to July 3rd on the SmartPunk Stage. Last but never least, Every Avenue will join their fellow Fearless bands on tour from July 9th to August 6th, also on the SmartPunk Stage.
Be sure to check out these bands if they are scheduled for your city! Here are some quick highlights from each of our bands.
Alesana (entire tour)-- In 2005, Raleigh, North Carolina's Alesana exploded onto the Hardcore scene by selling 3,000 copies of their debut EP Try This With Your Eyes Closed. Since signing with Fearless Records in late 2006, the band has toured alongside label mates Mayday Parade, as well as Escape the Fate and Drop Dead, Gorgeous. After wrapping up a nearly sold-out tour with The Devil Wears Prada and A Day to Remember in the United Kingdom, Alesana will be headlining the SmartPunk stage on this summer's Vans Warped Tour. Here, the band will debut songs from their recently released album Where Myth Fades to Legend, the follow-up to the popular 2007 release On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax. With a #4 debut on the iTunes alternative chart and over 20,000 plays on MySpace per day, Alesana is guaranteed to cause a stir amongst the crowds throughout their second straight summer on the popular festival.
Mayday Parade (entire tour)-- Hailing from Tallahassee, Florida in early 2005, Pop/Rock quintet Mayday Parade made waves amongst fans with their release of their first studio album A Lesson In Romantics in 2007. The album, which debuted at #9 on the Alternative New Artist Chart, has earned the band worldwide acclaim. But before achieving this, the band hit the road to follow the Warped Tour on its cross-country hike. Strapped with CD-filled backpacks, Mayday Parade self-street teamed, making new friends and fans, talking to anyone they could. At the end of the two months, Mayday Parade had sold 11,000 copies of their EP, never once playing on stage. Mayday Parade's dedication has rung true, after touring with the likes of Paramore in Japan and Australia and All Time Low here in the U.S., Mayday Parade made their way "across the pond" to play for thousands at the U.K.'s popular Give It A Name festival in May of 2008. Now, Mayday Parade returns home to tackle the Hurly Stage all summer long on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour, where they are sure to add to their already massive following of energetic fans.
The Maine (June 20th-July 3rd)--Bursting onto the scene in early 2007, it is apparent that Pop/Rock band The Maine has begun to make their mark on music fans nationwide with their infectious hooks and originality. After selling 25,000 copies of their debut EP The Way We Talk only five months after its release, the boys climbed the Billboard Heatseakers chart to #10. The Maine's success can be attributed to their online roots, grossing over 6 million plays and 91,0000 friends on MySpace. Named one of the "100 Bands You Need to Know in 2008" by Alternative Press, The Maine's upbeat music and catchy lyrics will undoubtedly capture the attention of thousands more as they embark on the Vans Warped Tour in June. In July the band launches the Soundtrack of Your Summer tour with Boys Like Girls and Good Charlotte. On July 8, 2008 the band will release their highly-anticipated debut album Can't Stop, Won't Stop, which already has The Maine's massive fan base buzzing.
Every Avenue (July 9th-August 6th)--The charismatic pop-rock band Every Avenue has pushed themselves and their music to grow above the pop stigma with the release of their energetic album Shh. Just Go With It in February of 2008. Shh. Just Go With It is a follow-up to their widely hailed 2007 EP Ah!, named "one of the catchiest albums ever heard" and a favorite of AbsolutePunk.net. The single "Where Were You" has not only received play on Yahoo! Radio and AOL Radio, but was also featured on MTV's "Real World/Road Rules Gauntlet," "Dr. Steve-O," and "Living Lohan" and received more than 150,000 downloads on Mark Hoppus' (Blink-182) "Hi My Name Is Mark" blog on I-Tunes . Compared to Fall Out Boy and All American Rejects, Every Avenue has exploded with their twist on the pop-punk sound, continuing to play emotional and honest music while incorporating heartfelt piano ballads and catchy radio tunes. In June the Marysville, Michigan natives are heading out on the Beast from the East tour with friends Just Surrender, The Morning Light, and You Me and Everyone We Know. Come July, Every Avenue will tackle the Smartpunk stage at the 2008 Vans Warp Tour, promising fans an electrifying performance.
