It has been just over a year since it was first announced that the first two
albums from ON THE MIGHT OF PRINCES, The Making of a Conversation and Where
You Are and Where You Want to Be, would be reissued and now today Rok Lok
Records and Eugenics Record Label are proud to issue the formal street date
for these much anticipated reissues. Both albums will officially be
available in stores worldwide on Tuesday January 16th. Though Rok Lok
Records is currently taking preorders via its mail order. Each reissue
features a 24 page booklet with never before seen photos, liner notes as
well as bonus tracks, videos, and a web link to exclusive content.

Formed in 1998, Long Island based ON THE MIGHT OF PRINCES masterfully
channeled emotive, melodic hardcore through a unique brand dynamic post punk
that was highlighted by discordant guitars and an urgent vocal delivery.
Word of their explosively passionate live performances spread like wildfire
in such a way that it almost resembled suburban folk lore but as their
touring continued it was obvious that DIY hardcore had something special
going on with ON THE MIGHT OF PRINCES. Their debut effort The Making of a
Conversation was released in 1999 on Rok Lok Records while the sophomore
effort Where You Are and Where You Want to Be was released in 2001 on both
Creep Records and Traffic Violation Records in 2001 and was the critically
acclaimed album that put them on the map. Eventually ON THE MIGHT OF PRINCES
found a home on Revelation Records to issue what would become the band’s
final album, Sirens. The band formally disbanded the following year in 2003.
This reissue project hopes to re-establish what the ON THE MIGHT OF PRINCES
experience was like for people who witnessed it first hand and for a whole
new generation of fans.
